Welcome to HRGB
The aim of the Society, which was formed in 1967, is "To advance, provide and encourage for the public benefit the art of handbell tune ringing in all its forms." It is the only national organisation supporting handbell, handchime and Belleplate players. The Society presents to its members a wide range of activities and music designed to show the many aspects of handbell tune ringing.

HRGB National Rally 2009 - Cirencester 17th-19th April 2009 The 2009 National Rally will be hosted by the South West Region at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. The Royal Agricultural College is a lovely old building set in the Cotswolds but, as you might expect, it is smaller than many University Campuses so numbers will be limited and applications dealt with strictly in order of arrival.
To get the weekend off with a bang there will be a Barn Dance on the Friday evening as well as the usual ad hoc ringing and socialising in the Tithe Barn bar.
The traditional concert will be held on the Saturday evening and for the first time, the National AGM will be held as part of the National Rally, enabling you to see a little of how the Society is run. There will be rally ringing for those teams wanting to take part and a full range of workshops and classes which we will try to ‘aim’ at ‘experts’, ‘beginners’ or ‘in-between’ levels of ringers.

 | HANDBELL RINGERS OF GREAT BRITAIN invite you to 7th National Residential Ringing Week Kingston University Conference Centre Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey
Monday 27th July - Saturday 1st August 2009
| This international ringing event is intended for intermediate to advanced level ringers who can read staff notation. Although there will be periods of concentrated rehearsals, there will be time for fun and socialising as well. We are delighted to welcome Kevin McChesney and Tim Waugh to the conductor’s podium. They will be joined by Keith Rowland and Sandra Winter from the UK. All equipment will be provided except mallets. There will be a series of workshops offered to delegates to provide more than just a ringing experience. The first concert will be held on Friday evening and another on Saturday morning at Hampton Court Palace. Delegates are expected to source their own copies of the music repertoire. It is important that each ringer arrives prepared to ring his or her bell assignment at the first rehearsal. |

Chairman’s address for the AGM, 27th September 2008The AGM is required to complete the formal business of HRGB for the year ending December 2007. There are only four major items that need to be included in the AGM – the receipt of the accounts, the election of Officers, the election of an auditor and decisions on proposals for rule changes. It is also an opportunity for additional information to be reported for the benefit of members. Attendance at AGM’s has been falling over recent years and the National Executive has felt that members have not had the opportunity to understand the work that goes on in HRGB. Hence for 2008, the AGM will be held at the National Rally in Cirencester in April 2009.
